Several offers
The 43-year-old, who has signed a three-year contract with an option for a further two years, had previously announced he was taking a year off and rejected several offers while holidaying in the Netherlands. Yanal was dismissed by Turkey in June following a poor run of FIFA World Cup qualifying results.
High hopes
Manisaspor president Haluk Çubukçu said: "In the next five seasons we want to turn Manisaspor into a team that can compete for the title and have success in Europe." Yanal, who has strong links with the club, added: "We will change the identity of Manisaspor and turn them into a side that plays attacking football."
Going home
Meanwhile, the club, who are 12th in Turkey, will return to their Manisa 19 Mayis stadium following renovations, which had caused them to play home matches in Izmir. The first game at the new-look arena will be against Gençlerbirliği SK on 23 October.
