Many honours
Born on 9 July 1929, midfielder Stoyanov was part of CSKA's 'golden team' from the late 50s and early 60s, winning ten Bulgarian titles and 15 international caps, as well as Olympic bronze in 1956. His first championship with the club came when he was still a teenager, and he won the league in his last seven seasons with CSKA between 1954 and 1960, when he also took part in their first European Champion Clubs' Cup campaigns, reaching the quarter-finals in 1956/57.
