Paris Saint-Germain FC have appointed Guy Lacombe as coach to replace Laurent Fournier.
Ten-month reign
Although PSG lie sixth in the league, only two points off second place, the club decided to end the ten-month reign of Fournier, the first coach to be sacked in Ligue 1 this season. Club president Pierre Blayau said: "Guy Lacombe has been handed the reins of the first team."
Sochaux reunion
Lacombe, 50, has been out of work since July when he left FC Sochaux-Montbéliard after two successive UEFA Cup campaigns. He will take his first training session on Wednesday and will be in charge on 4 January when PSG's league fixtures resume with a home match against his former side, Sochaux.
