Second sacking
"It was a tough decision to make," Lecce sporting director Guido Angelozzi explained. "But we needed to shake things up. We thank Baldini for his work and wish him the best for the future." The 47-year-old Baldini becomes the second coaching casualty of Lecce's season following the dismissal after only five games in charge of Angelo Gregucci.
Meagre total
Rizzo, 45, now takes responsibility for a squad that have claimed just 13 points from 21 Serie A outings this term. A former Lecce player who enjoyed great success with the club's youth set-up, he will be assisted by Franco Paleari.
