PSG profit from Pancrate strike

Fabrice Pancrate struck four minutes into added time to hand Paris Saint-Germain FC a 2-1 victory against ES Troyes Aube Champagne at the Parc des Princes.

Pauleta penalty
It was PSG's second added-time goal of the game, after Pauleta had stroked in a penalty in the dying seconds of the first half when man-of-the-match Cristian Rodriguez was brought down by Florian Boucansaud. It was the Portuguese striker's 14th league goal of the season.

Late drama
An unmarked Georges Ba headed Troyes level five minutes into the second half, and the visitors kept it tight until Pauleta threaded a neat ball through to Pancrate, who beat goalkeeper Ronan Le Crom from a tight angle. The win sees PSG go fourth in the table, while Troyes slip to 16th.

Pagis opens account
Olympique de Marseille are also on the up after a 1-0 win against Stade Rennais FC saw them climb three places to sixth. The teams started the evening level on points and seemed to cancel each other out until Marseille's new signing Mikaël Pagis poached his first goal for the club on the hour.

Frozen pitch
At the Stade Geoffroy Guichard, AS Saint-Etienne's encounter with Toulouse FC lasted only 15 minutes before referee Philippe Malige abandoned the match due to a frozen pitch.
