ESM Golden Shoe: A hat-trick for Juventus saw David Trezeguet leapfrog Ruud van Nistelrooij and Miroslav Klose in the latest standings.

A hat-trick for Juventus saw David Trezeguet leapfrog Ruud van Nistelrooij and Miroslav Klose to go joint-third in the ESM Golden Shoe rankings, as Luca Toni continues to lead the way.

Absent Eto'o
French international Trezeguet struck three goals in the first 18 minutes against Ascoli Calcio 1898 on Sunday to move level on points with FC Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o, currently on international duty with Cameroon at the African Cup of Nations.

Buoyant Boyd
The week's other big mover was Kris Boyd of Rangers FC, whose two goals against Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC propelled him from 14th to seventh. AS Roma playmaker Francesco Totti moved into the top ten courtesy of two goals against AS Livorno Calcio.

*Season finished

Only the leading five countries (Spain, Italy, Germany, France and England) in the UEFA coefficient rankings have two as their multiplier. This is to emphasise the difference in international performance level between clubs from those countries and those from the other countries.
A player cannot first play in a summer league (eg Norway) and then in a winter league (eg Spain) and combine the points total for each season.
