In the 36th minute, the former Lazio midfielder - who had scored Inter’s goal in the first leg in Rome - received a short pass from Adriano and stroked the ball into the top corner of the net from just outside the penalty box.
Better chances
Before Stanković's goal Inter had the best opportunities to score but Fabio Liverani cleared a Marco Materazzi header off the goal line, while Adriano fired wide from close range after evading Lazio's offside trap.
