Juventus want Milan revenge

Juventus have the chance to take another big step towards their 29th Scudetto when they host second-placed AC Milan at the Delle Alpi stadium on Sunday night.

Ten-point lead
Fabio Capello's side are ten points clear of the Rossoneri and anything but a defeat would guarantee them a comfortable lead to defend in the remaining nine games of the season. However, there is also a lot of pride at stake as Milan are the only Italian team to have beaten the Bianconeri, who will be eager to erase memories of the 3-1 loss in October.

'Strongest opponents'
"Milan are the strongest team we have faced this season," explained Juventus midfielder Emerson. "Both sides are packed with players who are able to decide the game. The ten-point lead puts us in a comfortable position but we will not play for a draw, it is not our style."

Contrasting form
Both clubs reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals in midweek by defeating German opponents. The Rossoneri confirmed their good period of form - five consecutive wins in Serie A - by thrashing FC Bayern München 4-1, while Juventus needed a late goal by Emerson to overcome Werder Bremen.

No fatigue
"We will not be tired against Juventus," said Brazilian midfielder Kaká. "It is much easier to recover from tiredness after a performance and a win like the one against Bayern. It is exactly what we needed ahead of the difficult game in Turin."

Old foes
The fixture is special for Capello and Carlo Ancelotti, who have each coached both teams during their careers. Capello won four league titles and the UEFA Champions League with Milan, while Ancelotti was twice a Serie A runner-up with Juventus.

'Extraordinary' achievement
Milan currently have 63 points, as many as eventual champions Juventus at this stage of last term. "We are having a good season but Juventus have done something extraordinary so far," admitted the Milan boss. "However, should they have a rocky patch, we will have to be ready to close the gap."
