Eintracht Frankfurt have begun preparing for next season's UEFA Cup campaign by re-signing midfielder Albert Streit.
Free transfer
The 26-year-old came through the Eintracht youth system and went on to make 53 first-team appearances before joining VfL Wolfsburg ahead of the 2003/04 campaign. He then moved to 1. FC Köln, where he spent the past two seasons and played 78 times in the Bundesliga. Streit has signed on a free transfer and will have a contract until summer 2009. Eintracht will enter the 2006/07 UEFA Cup first round after finishing as runners-up in the German Cup final to league champions FC Bayern München.
