The 31-year-old will not be extending his expiring contract and will walk away from the German double winners on 1 July. Bayern manager Uli Hoeness said: "I am afraid the negotiations did not work out. We wish him a successful World Cup and then all the best for the future." Zé Roberto arrived at Bayern in 2002 after four seasons with Bayer 04 Leverkusen and has gone on to play 110 Bundesliga games for Bayern, winning three league and cup doubles.
