FC Internazionale Milano can win a second successive Coppa Italia tonight while Esbjerg fB and Randers FC are competing for the Danish Cup.
Narrow advantage
After a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the final against AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico, Inter are well placed to reclaim the trophy they lifted with a 3-0 aggregate victory against the Giallorossi last season. However, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has not abandoned hope of silverware.
'In the balance'
"I think the result is still in the balance," he said. "A 0-0 draw would be enough for Inter so they have a slight advantage but we are in Milan to win the game and lift the cup. This Roma side has already proved we can achieve every kind of result against the strongest opposition."
Totti recovered
Francesco Totti may be back for Roma after a bout of flu delayed his return from a broken leg, but Rodrigo Taddei, Philippe Mexes and Simone Perrotta are suspended at the Giuseppe Meazza along with Inter defender Iván Córdoba
'We must win'
"We will not play for a 0-0," insisted Nerazzurri coach Roberto Mancini. "We will try to attack without giving Roma the chance to breathe and find space for their dangerous counterattacks. After failing to win the Scudetto and the UEFA Champions League, we must get the Coppa Italia."
Esbjerg favourites
In Denmark, six-time finalists Esbjerg are out to avoid embarrassment against three-time finalists Randers, the second division leaders. Superliga club Esbjerg are favourites as Randers' former Danish international Stig Tøfting is well aware.
First priority
"Esbjerg play faster and more physically that us and they are better players," admitted the 36-year-old. "Promotion to the Superliga is more important than winning the cup, so I would not trade a win here for a defeat in Sunday's league match against Kolding FC."
UEFA Cup place
Qualification for next season's UEFA Cup awaits the victors, but both sides must look a long way back for their previous appearance in the showpiece. Esbjerg lost 3-2 to Lyngby FC in 1985, while Randers beat B 1901 Nykøbing 2-0 in the 1973 event.
