Scottish champions Celtic FC have signed Hibernian FC striker Derek Riordan in a pre-contract agreement.
Free transfers
The 23-year-old will join Celtic in January 2007 with his commitment to Hibs due to expire on 31 October. Capped once by Scotland, he has scored 54 goals in 123 Premier League games for his hometown club. Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has already secured the services of Scottish international defender Gary Caldwell and striker Kenny Miller, from Hibs and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC respectively, in similar deals. Both players are due to arrive at Celtic Park this summer.
