LOSC Lille Métropole coach Claude Puel has continued his preparations for a second successive UEFA Champions League campaign by naming Patrick Collot as his new assistant.
On the payroll
The 38-year-old Collot was a Lille player between 1995 and 2001 and is already on the payroll at the club, having been head of player recruitment last season. His new posting comes hot on the heels of Puel agreeing a contract extension after leading Lille to a third-placed finish in Ligue 1.
Roussey moves on
The change in personnel came as a result of Puel's previous assistant, Laurent Roussey, moving to AS Saint-Etienne, where he will assist new Czech coach Ivan Hašek. Lille will start their 2006/07 UEFA Champions League campaign in the third qualifying round.
