Fiorentina make way for Frey

ACF Fiorentina have signed goalkeeper Sébastien Frey from Parma FC for an undisclosed fee after a successful loan spell last season.

Five-year deal
The 26-year-old Frenchman, who previously played for Hellas-Verona FC and FC Internazionale Milano, has agreed a five-year contract. He made 18 appearances for Fiorentina before a serious knee injury brought an early end to his campaign. "The way the fans showed their support while I was injured convinced me that staying at Fiorentina was absolutely the right thing to do," he said. Fiorentina qualified for the third qualifying round of the 2006/07 UEFA Champions League after finishing fourth in Serie A.
