Huysegems goes to Feyenoord

Feyenoord have signed Belgian international striker Stein Huysegems for an undisclosed fee from Eredivisie rivals AZ Alkmaar.

'Dream move'
The 23-year-old moves to Rotterdam on a four-year contract, swapping one Dutch UEFA Cup qualifier for another, AZ having finished second in the 2005/06 table and Feyenoord third. "It is a dream to play for a club like Feyenoord," he said. "They are still a little bigger than AZ. When they want you, you go there." Huysegems, who scored 19 goals in 94 league games in Alkmaar, will help replace the Chelsea FC-bound Salomon Kalou at the De Kuip. He previously played for K. Lierse SK.
