PSV Eindhoven have signed a new and improved contract with Peruvian international striker Jefferson Farfán.

Scoring record
The terms will extend Farfán's stay with the Dutch champions by 12 months until the summer of 2010. The 21-year-old has scored 29 Eredivisie goals in 59 games since joining PSV from Club Alianza Lima in the summer of 2004. Farfán's commitment to the cause follows Ronald Koeman's appointment as coach and new contracts for captain Phillip Cocu and goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes. PSV have also drafted in former BV Vitesse coach Edward Sturing, 42, to head their youth department.
