Danish champions FC København have signed Swedish international forward Fredrik Berglund from Esbjerg fB as a replacement for Nigerian Peter Ijeh.
Ijeh moving on
With Ijeh expected to join Norwegian side Viking FK pending the successful completion of a medical, the 27-year-old Berglund has arrived from Esbjerg on a four-year contract. Named on the reserve list for Sweden's FIFA World Cup squad, Berglund scored 57 goals in 99 appearances for EfB.
'Huge opportunity'
"I am looking forward to developing further at Scandinavia's leading club, and the prospect of playing in the UEFA Champions League is a huge opportunity for me," said Berglund. København start their UEFA Champions League campaign in the second qualifying round.
