Fiorentina get all of Pasqual

Italian UEFA Champions League contenders ACF Fiorentina have signed a deal with AC Arezzo to secure full ownership of left-back Manuel Pasqual.

Arezzo and Fiorentina each owned half of the 24-year-old's playing licence but Fiorentina have moved to buy second-division Arezzo out. Pasqual was one of the most impressive performers in Serie A last season - his first in Florence following four campaigns at Arezzo - earning his Italy debut in a friendly against Germany in March.

Unexpected success
"I was not expecting such success when I joined Fiorentina because it was my first time in Serie A," said Pasqual, who played 35 games as Fiorentina finished fourth in the table. "I was hoping to stay at Fiorentina and now I hope to do just as well next season, even if it will be more difficult."
