Italian UEFA Champions League contenders ACF Fiorentina have signed goalkeeper Vlada Avramov from Vicenza Calcio for an undisclosed fee.

Italian UEFA Champions League contenders ACF Fiorentina have signed goalkeeper Vlada Avramov from Vicenza Calcio for an undisclosed fee.

Secondary role
The 27-year-old from Serbia and Montenegro, who spent last season on loan at Serie B side Pescara Calcio, has signed a four-year contract with the Florence side where he will provide cover for French goalkeeper Sébastien Frey. Fiorentina will play in the third qualifying round of the 2006/07 UEFA Champions League after finishing fourth in Serie A last season.
