The 32-year-old had signed for Bolton but changed his mind yesterday and completed his move on to the City of Manchester stadium today. Hamann, a 2004/05 UEFA Champions League winner with Liverpool after joining them in 1999 from Newcastle United FC, will have a two-year contract. The former FC Bayern München player was capped 59 times by his country, but retired from international football in May after missing out on the FIFA World Cup.
