Athletic Club Bilbao have paid €6m for CA Osasuna midfielder Javier Martínez Aguinaga despite the 17-year-old having never played a senior game.
Six-year deal
The Spanish Under-17 international, who agreed a six-year contract, is one of four new faces at San Mamés along with Josu Sarriegi, Alex García and Igor Gabilondo. Coach Javier Clemente was keen to bolster his squad during the summer after the club battled against relegation for the majority of last season. Sarriegi, 27, plays in the centre of defence and has moved from CD Alavés after three seasons. Bilbao-born Alex García, who is a left-sided midfielder, joins from Real Racing Club Santander and midfielder Gabilondo, 27, has made the switch from Real Sociedad de Fútbol.
