Substitute Sylvain Wiltord struck with only five minutes remaining to give Olympique Lyonnais a 2-1 win at the team they condemned to second place in Ligue 1 last season, FC Girondins de Bordeaux.
Fred equaliser
Bordeaux went ahead in the fifth minute through Julien Faubert, who scored a last-minute winner on his France debut against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Wednesday, as he got his head to Johan Micoud's free-kick. But Fred levelled for the champions shortly before the half-hour when he deflected in Tiago's long-range effort. Wiltord's late headed intervention moved Lyon into second place on goal difference behind Olympique de Marseille, who won at AJ Auxerre on Saturday. Bordeaux are sixth after dropping points for the first time this season.
Toulouse triumph
Only three points separate the top 12 and among that number in eleventh are Toulouse FC following their 1-0 win against OGC Nice. Both teams had drawn and lost in their two opening games but Jérémy Mathieu ensured Toulouse secured a first win of the season with his goal just prior to half-time.
