Levante UD will be able to call on new signing Marcelo Zé María after the club completed his transfer from FC Internazionale Milano. The 33-year-old defender arrived at the club on 23 August but his playing documents were not in order. He could now make his debut in Sunday’s Primera División game against Real Madrid CF.
Swiss side FC Basel 1893 have announced the signing of two South American youngsters. The 18-year old Ecuador international Felipe Caicedo has joined from Rocafuerte FC while Brazilian Ivo Pedro, also 18, has arrived from FC Toledo Colonia Work. Both forwards signed contracts until June 2009.

Kilmarnock FC have signed South African goalkeeper Chad Harpur on a short-term contract until January. The 24-year-old former Leeds United AFC and Millwall FC keeper will provide cover for current number one Graeme Smith, with deputies Alan Combe and Cameron Bell both recovering from long-term injuries.
