UEFA has filed an appeal against the disciplinary penalty imposed on Feyenoord following the disturbances caused by the Dutch club's supporters during the UEFA Cup group match against AS Nancy-Lorraine on 30 November.
Disciplinary fine
On 7 December, the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body handed down a fine of CHF200,000 (€125,082) on Feyenoord, and ordered that the club should play two European club competition matches behind closed doors if a further offence is committed during a probationary period of three years. UEFA has until next week to submit the written grounds for the appeal, which it is empowered to make under Article 50 of the UEFA disciplinary regulations. The appeals hearing will take place in the first half of January 2007.
