BV Borussia Dortmund coach Bert van Marwijk will step down at the end of the season after reaching an agreement with the Bundesliga club.

Decision announced
"We've decided to go our separate ways when the season is over," the Dutch coach told reporters after Dortmund's 1-0 defeat of VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday. Dortmund managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke said no decision had been made as to the eventual successor. "We have not yet spoken with any other trainer," he said.

Third season
Van Marwijk joined Dortmund from Feyenoord in June 2004, replacing Matthias Sammer. He guided them to seventh place in each of his first two seasons, and this term they stand in sixth place with 22 points, eight behind the leaders Werder Bremen.
