Executive Commitee

UEFA officials marked their arrival for the Congress by signing the city's Golden Book.

UEFA President Lennart Johansson and Chief Executive Lars-Christer Olsson have marked their arrival in Dusseldorf for this week's UEFA Congress by signing the city's Goldene Buch (Golden Book).

Ceremony
Mr Johansson and Mr Olsson penned their names into the special visitors' book at the historic Rathaus building on Tuesday, together with UEFA vice-presidents Senes Erzik (Turkey) and Angel María Villar Llona (Spain). Theo Zwanziger, president of the German Football Association, was also present for the ceremony inside the Rathaus where the lord mayor of Dusseldorf, Joachim Erwin, welcomed UEFA to the city.

'Great significance'
"Given the great significance of this congress and the considerable media presence surrounding the event, this is a good opportunity to promote our city," Mr Erwin added. UEFA's Executive Committee will meet in Dusseldorf on Wednesday prior to the XXXI Ordinary UEFA Congress on Thursday and Friday.
