New France women's coach Bruno Bini has included three potential debutants in his squad to face China on 28 February in Merignac.
First game
Bini was announced as successor to Elisabeth Loisel last week and has picked, in his first selection, ASJ Soyaux defender Ophélie Meilleroux, midfielder Gaétane Thiney of US Compiègne and Montpellier HSC striker Elodie Ramos alongside the likes of Sandrine Soubeyrand and Sarah Bouhaddi.
Algarve Cup
Meilleroux and Thiney were in the Bini-coached France selection that won the 2003 UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship, as was goalkeeper Bouhaddi and fellow squad members Anne-Laure Casseleux, Elise Bussaglia, Laure Lepailleur and Elodie Thomis. After meeting China, France travel to Portugal for the Algarve Cup from 7-14 March, meeting Denmark, Germany and Norway in the group stage. They open their UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2009™ qualifying campaign at home to Group 3 rivals Greece on 11 April.
