Brazilian striker Cacau struck his eleventh goal of the season seven minutes before the break and former Aston Villa FC midfielder Hitzlsperger rounded off the scoring on 77 minutes. Armin Veh's side join Eintracht Frankfurt, VfL Wolfsburg and 1. FC Nürnberg in the semi-finals.
