Article body
Beşiktaş JK have moved to within two points of Süper Lig leaders Fenerbahçe SK with a 2-1 home win against third-placed Galatasaray SK on Saturday night.
Penalty winner
Bobô, a 21-year-old Brazilian forward, had put the home team in front in the 32nd minute gone only for Emre Asik to equalise three minutes past the hour. Just as it looked like it would finish honours even, Beşiktaş were awarded an 84th-minute penalty and up stepped the experienced Ricardinho, another Brazilian who like Bobô was acquired from SC Corinthians, to convert. The victory means Beşiktaş are four points clear of their rivals and within striking distance of Fenerbahçe, who are at home against mid-table Sivasspor tomorrow.
