Bikey prolongs Reading ride

Reading FC have signed André Bikey on a permanent three-year deal from FC Lokomotiv Moskva for €1.5m.

The 22-year-old defender joined Reading, who are looking to secure UEFA Cup football next season by at least holding on to seventh spot in the English Premiership, on loan at the start of the campagin, making 13 starts and seven substitute appearances to date. He has one goal to his name for the Royals - in a League Cup tie at Liverpool FC. The Cameroonian international began his European career in Portugal, before making his name in Russia with FC Shinnik Yaroslavl and Lokomotiv. The deal was able to be completed outside of the transfer window as it was an upgrade of their existing loan agreement.
