Celtic FC will have to wait to learn their opponents for next month's Scottish Cup final after Hibernian FC and Dunfermline Athletic FC played out a goalless semi-final draw at Hampden Park.
Tense affair
Hibernian had the upper hand for much of the game and could have grabbed a narrow victory eight minutes from time when Abdessalam Benjelloun saw his shot headed off the line by Souleymane Bamba. "It was a typical semi-final, a tense affair," said their manager John Collins. "The first half was quite even but we picked it up in the second half. We are lacking a cutting edge up front just now, but the good news is we kept a clean sheet and live to fight another day."
European goal
The sides will meet again on 24 April, with the reward a final against Celtic and a likely guaranteed UEFA Cup spot as Gordon Strachan's side are just a win away from clinching the Scottish Premier League and a berth in the UEFA Champions League. Dunfermline will be hampered by the absence of the suspended Scott Wilson, however, after he collected his third yellow card of the competition.
