Contract clause
The 21-year-old midfielder has signed a four-year contract which will keep him in Bruges until summer 2011 after triggering a clause in his existing deal. The move ends a two-year spell with Sint-Truiden, whom he joined on a three-year contract from Oud-Heverlee Louvain in 2005.

Standing at 1.93m tall, Simaeys has also been deployed as a central defender.
