Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski will enter qualifying for next season's UEFA Cup after beating Korona Kielce 2-0 in this afternoon's Polish Cup final in Belchatow.

Bright start
Groclin made the brightest start and took the lead on 16 minutes as midfielder Radosław Majewski's shot from 25 metres caught Korona goalkeeper Maciej Mielcarz unawares. Korona's chances of fighting back received a blow when playmaker Mariusz Zganiacz was sent off fir a second yellow card in the 29th minute. Nonetheless, it took until the 77th minute for Groclin to make the result certain as midfielder Jarosław Lato converted winger Piotr Piechniak's cross from close range.

Repeat show
The triumph was Groclin's second cup success, following their victory in the 2005 final. They will start their UEFA Cup campaign in the first qualifying round while Korona could yet earn a place in Europe for next season. The club are third in the Ekstraklasa, six points behind the leaders GKS Bełchatów and Zagłębie Lubin with six matches to play. The champions will enter the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round while the runners-up go into the UEFA Cup first qualifying round along with Groclin.
