FC Hansa Rostock and MSV Duisburg are celebrating promotion to the Bundesliga after both won their final second division matches of the season on Sunday afternoon.

FC Hansa Rostock and MSV Duisburg are today celebrating promotion to the Bundesliga after both won their final second division matches of the season.

Home wins
The promoted pair join champions Karlsruhe SC, who had already clinched a spot in the German top flight. Rostock were 3-1 home winners against SpVgg Unterhaching, while Duisburg recorded a 3-0 success against visitors SC Rot-Weiss Essen. Karlsruhe, who won 3-1 away to SpVgg Greuther Fuerth, finished top of the division with 70 points, followed by Rostock on 62 and Duisburg on 60. Bundesliga clubs 1. FSV Mainz 05, TSV Alemannia Aachen and VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach have been relegated to the second division.
