Liechtenstein Cup holders FC Vaduz have signed Tim Grossklaus and Raphael Rohrer as well as goalkeeper Yann Sommer as they prepare to return to the UEFA Cup.

Basel connection
Sommer, an 18-year-old goalkeeper, has joined on loan from FC Basel 1893 where new Vaduz coach Hainz Hermann formerly worked in the youth department. Another St-Jakob Park trainee, 20-year-old German forward Grossklaus, has also moved to Vaduz on a two-year contract after scoring 21 goals in 29 games for Basel's youth team last season. Meanwhile, Liechtenstein forward Rohrer, 22, has joined the club from local rivals USV Eschen-Mauren on a one-year contract with the option of another 12 months. He has scored once in 25 international appearances.

Thun loan
The club have not been able to agree a permanent move for Omar Pape Faye who scored 12 times in 33 league games for Vaduz while on loan from FC Thun last season. Vaduz play their domestic football in the Swiss second division as there is no formal league system in Liechtenstein. They start their UEFA Cup campaign in the first qualifying round.
