ACF Fiorentina have signed Belgium right-back Anthony Vanden Borre from RSC Anderlecht for an undisclosed fee.
Five-year contract
The 19-year-old, who played six games in the UEFA Champions League this season, is considered one of the most promising defenders in Europe, has agreed a five-year contract with the Viola. Fiorentina, who finished sixth in Serie A despite starting the campaign with a 15-point deduction, have also signed defender Ondrej Mazuch from 1. FC Brno and midfielder Jan Hable from RH Hradec Králové, both 18, on five-year contracts. Fiorentina will play in the UEFA Cup next season, while Anderlecht, as champions of Belgium, will play in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.
