Dalmat places trust in Sochaux

Midfielder Stéphane Dalmat explained that it was 'trust' that persuaded him to move to FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, his tenth club in eleven unstable years.

Tenth club
The much-travelled Dalmat, who joined Bordeaux from Real Racing Club Santander last summer, had become a free agent after failing to make an impact at the Ligue 1 outfit for whom he played 13 league matches. "I have come to Sochaux because I feel that they trust me," said the 28-year-old upon joining his tenth club in eleven seasons. "I know I say that every year but I need a more stable situation." Dalmat is Sochaux's third signing after Slovenian midfielders Bojan Djokić and Lionel Mathis. The French Cup winners have been entered in the UEFA Cup first round, like Bordeaux, who qualified as a result of their French League Cup success last term. Meanwhile, Sochaux goalkeeper Teddy Richert has extended his contract from June 2010 to June 2011. Richert, voted as Ligue 1's best custodian last season by fellow professionals, joined the club in 2001 from LOSC Lille Métropole.
