Parker departure
The Australian international, who has signed a two-year deal with an option of a third, becomes new manager Sam Allardyce's first signing for the club and his arrival follows the departure of midfielder Scott Parker who completed a €10.3m move to West Ham United FC this morning.

UEFA Cup goals
Viduka, 31, joined Middlesbrough in July 2004 for €6.6m after a four-year spell at Leeds United FC and scored 26 league goals in his four seasons at the Riverside. The former Celtic FC player, who started his career in his native Australia with Melbourne Knights before spending four years at NK Dinamo Zagreb, also scored six times during Middlesbrough's run to the UEFA Cup final last in 2006.
