Ukrainian international defender Andriy Nesmachniy has signed a new two-year contract with FC Dynamo Kyiv, extending his stay at the club until 2010.

Double looming
"I am proud to wear the blue and white of Dynamo," said Nesmachniy. "I will do my best to help my team in the future." A product of the Simferopol football school, the 28-year-old Nesmachniy has won four titles and five Ukrainian Cups since joining Dynamo during the 1997/98 campaign. In addition to his 172 Premier League appearances, he has been capped 61 times by Ukraine and was a member of the squad that reached the 2006 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals. Dynamo sit six points clear at the top of the Premier League with two games remaining, having already beaten FC Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1 in the Ukrainian Cup final. If crowned champions, they will enter the third qualifying round of next season's UEFA Champions League.
