Release clause
The 39-year-old Ficcadenti, a former Hellas-Verona FC and Torino FC midfielder, was free to join Reggina as his former club Verona were relegated to Serie C1 and his old contract was valid only for the top two divisions. During his coaching career Ficcadenti has also worked for US Fiorenzuola 1922, US Avellino and AC Pistoiese.
Serie A status
The new coach, who has reportedly signed a three-year contract, will be unveiled to the press tomorrow. Last season Reggina finished 14th in Serie A despite starting with an eleven-point deduction.
