League champions Zagłębie Lubin added more silverware to their collection on Sunday after beating Ekstraklasa runners-up GKS Bełchatów to win the Polish Super Cup.

Goliński winner
The match traditionally pits the title winners against their cup counterparts, but with Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski having no time to prepare for the fixture due to their UEFA Cup qualifying commitments in Azerbaijan, Bełchatów were happy to step in. Zagłębie dominated the first half on home soil and scored the only goal after 25 minutes, Brazilian André Nunes teeing up fellow summer signing Michał Goliński for the winner.

European ties
Zagłębie meet FC Steaua Bucuresti of Romania in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, while Bełchatów defeated FC Ameri Tbilisi 2-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Cup first qualifying round tie last Thursday. The return contest will be played in Georgia on 2 August.
