Barrel-chested Serbia midfielder Miloš Marić is to link up with his former Olympiacos CFP coach Trond Sollied at KAA Gent after leaving the Greek champions for the Belgian club on a three-year contract.

Robust and powerful
The 25-year-old spent three seasons in Piraeus, two of them under Norwegian Sollied, and won two domestic doubles and a third league crown in May. A Gent statement said: "Miloš is a robust, versatile midfielder with running ability and power. He has European experience with his national team and is known by our coach from his time at Olympiacos, where he also played in the [UEFA] Champions League." Gent are hoping to reach UEFA Cup qualifying via the UEFA Intertoto Cup on Sunday, having drawn the first leg of their third-round tie against Aalborg BK 1-1 in Denmark.
