Brazilian left-sided midfielder Nené has agreed to join AS Monaco FC from relegated Spanish side RC Celta de Vigo for around €7m subject to medical tests.
European pedigree
The 26-year-old will sign a two-year contract with the Principality club if he passes medical tests today. He played in nine UEFA Cup games for Celta last season as they reached the knockout phase of the competition having joined the club at the start of the season following spells with RCD Mallorca and Deportivo Alavés. He is new Monaco coach Ricardo Gomes's second signing following the arrival of Olympique Lyonnais left-back Jérémy Berthod.
Loan signings
Celta, meanwhile, are looking to fill the gaps in their squad after signing two players on loan from Primera División sides. Midfielder Vitolo Añino has arrived from Real Racing Club Santander with the option of a permanent four-year contract at the end of the campaign while 20-year-old Club Atlético de Madrid midfielder Mario Suárez will look to gain more experience in Vigo after scoring three league goals in ten games while on loan at Real Valladolid CF last season.
