Coltorti sets sail for Santander

Switzerland international goalkeeper Fabio Coltorti has joined Real Racing Club Santander from Zurich side Grasshopper-Club, signing a four-year deal in Spain.

First-team competition
The 26-year-old passed medical tests in Santander yesterday and will now look to battle Toño Rodríguez and Juan Calatayud for a first-team place in Marcelino García's side. Coltorti played 77 league games for Grasshoppers after joining the club from Swiss Super League rivals FC Thun in 2005. He has played seven games for Switzerland since making his debut in March 2006 and will be hoping to earn a place in Jakob Kuhn's squad for UEFA EURO 2008™ next summer.
