Four-year contract
The 27-year-old joins Villa on a four-year contract after a Fulham career spanning seven seasons and 150 league matches. Knight, who comes from the Aston area of Birmingham, had put pen to paper on a new deal with Fulham only last month.
Local heroes
"I have been supporting Villa ever since I got to know about football. Villa were my local team," said Knight, who scored an own goal in Fulham's 2-1 defeat by Villa on Saturday. The centre-half was capped twice by England in the summer of 2005.
