The 51-year-old Italian takes charge of the Primera División's bottom club two days after the dismissal of Resino. The latter's position had become untenable following Sunday's 3-0 defeat at Real Zaragoza which left the Valencia-based team with one point from their first seven matches of the Spanish season.
Torino divorce
De Biasi agreed to take the helm on Tuesday, subject to finalising his summer split from Serie A club Torino FC, and has now been unveiled as coach. The new man had been installed on the Torino bench last February and helped maintain his side's top-flight status. Previously he coached Modena FC and Brescia Calcio.
