AFC Ajax have appointed Adrie Koster as caretaker coach after freeing Henk ten Cate from his contract so he could take up an offer from Chelsea FC.
Former international
No contract details have been revealed for Koster, 52, although Ten Cate's assistants Alfons Groenendijk and Hennie Spijkerman will continue in their roles. Capped three times by the Netherlands, Koster coached Willem II, Roda JC, SC Excelsior, VVV Venlo and RKC Waalwijk before moving to Amsterdam in the summer to take charge of Ajax's reserve side. Chelsea are yet to appoint Ten Cate, however.
