FC Porto continued their perfect start to the Liga season on Monday night, defeating Leixões SC 3-0 to make it eight wins from eight and move eight points clear of second-placed SL Benfica.
Electric start
Jesualdo Ferreira's team made an electric start and were ahead after just five minutes when Argentina forward Lisandro López found space inside the box before opening the scoring with his left foot. Three minutes later Tarik Sektioui doubled the lead with a superb individual effort. López completed the scoring with 12 minutes to go when he headed in a Ricardo Quaresma cross. Elsewhere on Monday, A. Naval 1° Maio and SC Braga drew 1-1.
