Genoa CFC coach Gian Piero Gasperini has renewed his contract with the Italian club until 2012.
'Long-term plan'
The 49-year-old, whose deal was due to expire next summer, led the Rossoblù to promotion last term in his first season, having joined from FC Crotone in 2006. "I'm very happy with the new contract which will allow us to work on a long-term plan," he said. "There are strong foundations in place and I'm sure we can continue to grow together." Genoa are eleventh in Serie A with 13 points from ten games.
