Le Mans rally
Three points behind Lyon, who play host to RC Strasbourg on Sunday night, Nancy, who have a game in hand to play at Toulouse FC on Wednesday, broke the deadlock after seven minutes through Benjamin Gavanon's penalty. However, Hassan Yebda (59) and Gervinho (79) handed Nancy only their second loss of the campaign to move them a point ahead of FC Girondins de Bordeaux and five points behind their defeated opponents.
Last-gasp Laslandes
OGC Nice are in fifth place, level on points with Stade Rennais FC, who like Bordeaux are also involved on Sunday, after managing a 1-1 draw at AS Monaco FC thanks to a last-gasp strike by Lilian Laslandes which cancelled out Jan Koller's 86th-minute goal.
PSG woe
At the other end of Ligue 1, UEFA Champions League hopefuls Olympique de Marseille drew 1-1 at LOSC Lille Métropole to remain 16th with Mamadou Niang (32) cancelling out Patrick Kluivert's (28) opener. Paris Saint-Germain FC remain in the bottom three and still searching for a first home win after their 1-0 defeat at Parc des Princes by SM Caen, for whom Nicolas Florentin (74) was on target.
